Purchased these Alpine speakers to replace the factory installed speakers on my 05' Chevy TrailBlazer and the difference in sound quality is amazing. You won't be disappointed. Installation was easy and only took about an hour to install 4 speakers to the front & rear doors.
The bass thumps pretty good without an amp too. Save your money and google how to remove door panels for your specific vehicle and you too can be listening to better sound with your factory or aftermarket system. The highs and lows are much more crisp and clearer to go along with my factory system.
(This included removal of & re-installing the door panels) didn't need to use the speaker covers) Went to a local car stereo installer and he wanted to charge around a $100 bucks with a 4 hour wait. After reading many reviews and comparing other speakers, the Alpines were the way to go. It was not just based on price (which was a great deal by the way) but also on reputation & quality.
I highly recommend these. JoeFort Sill, OK
they were good speakers but put to much bass on them and they are distorted so if you want to really bump get the alpine x series
Got these on a recommendation from another site and because the price here was so good - especially with Prime shipping. These Alpines have been handling everything I throw at them from Mozart to the Dark Knight soundtrack to AC/ DC and Springsteen. Wondering if I should even go to the trouble of replacing the stereo itself - the difference is that big with my sound system now.I didn't have to use the nice covers that came with the speakers, but the round frames that came with them didn't fit the screw openings in my door perfectly.
Always wanted to get a better sound system, but didn't want to go to the trouble of taking out my door panels, etc. All worked out OK. I wish I had done this a long time ago 'cos these sounds great, and so much better than the factory speakers that came with my car.I have a 2002 Maxima, no Bose sound system, although I wouldn't be surprised if these sounded better than the Bose.
I managed, but I used just two screws instead of the three with the original speakers. First time installing car speakers. Although taking the car apart was a pain in the neck, I didn't permanently break anything and the replacements were worth it.I can hear so much more depth than before, and I literally and technically sit in a surround sound environment.
Like I said, biggest hassle was the doors. Tomorrow I'm going for a long drive to just listen to some music.
I just got done installing the speakers and they are great. But if you turn the bass up and crank the speakers up there is a good amount of distortion. I payed 54 bucks for them to replace my blown stock speakers in my 99 dodge dakota. They are extremly crisp and clear and they even have a good amount of bass. I only have them installed in my front door speakers but i am going to install them in my back speakers too. They are great i highly recemend them to anyone who wants to make there audio system better.
